Tavistock Garden Festival Grow it- Eat it – Enjoy it!
DUE to popular demand Tavistock Garden Festival 2011 will be getting back to its roots and returning to a two day event on Sunday 29th and Monday 30th May, 10am – 4 pm, to celebrate the best of gardens, countryside and food.
For inspiration there will be mini garden displays and demonstrations. Expert horticultural advice will be available from the participating nurseries and the Devon branch of Plant Heritage (NCCPG). You can indulge in some retail therapy from the many horticultural, food and country craftware trade stands. Plus, come and take a look at the work of the next generation of garden designers with our children’s art and design a garden competition.
This free event will be taking place in around
Tavistock Town Hall and Pannier Market. Inside the market hall the focus is on plants with display gardens, horticultural traders and many regular Pannier Market traders. Around the market perimeter there will be horticultural traders, garden themed craft ware and gardenalia stalls and on Bedford Square horticultural traders, garden equipment and garden furniture. Inside the Town Hall there will be a mix of edible garden and craft ware traders, along with some wonderful, inspiring demonstrations. Tavistock Garden Festival is very proud to help promote the fantastic St Luke’s Hospice Open Garden Scheme, come along to discover more about the scheme and the gardens involved.
Whether you are a green fingered gardening enthusiast, a budding beginner or just looking for a great day out, there will be something for everyone to enjoy at Tavistock Garden Festival.
