News Websense Websense announces new V5000 appliance Check Point

Check Point gets first ever NSS Labs Recommended next generation firewall

The new Websense V5000 appliance is designed for branch office and medium business deployments with support for up to 2,000 users. The V5000 appliance supports standalone deployment of Web Security Gateway solutions or future Websense email security solutions but not both simultaneously, according to the company.

“The Websense V-Series appliances deliver a unique combination of extensibility, performance, and simple deployment. Onboard virtualisation consolidates multiple security functions to a single hardware platform while supporting future enhancements. They integrate with the Websense Security-as-a-Service platform to offer customers the flexibility to deploy and manage their content security solutions how and where they need it.” said the company.

McAfee and SAIC collaborated with research company Vanson Bourne to survey more than 1,000 senior IT decision makers in the US, UK, Japan, China, India, Brazil and the Middle East. The findings revealed which countries were perceived as the least safe to store corporate data, the rate at which organisations are experiencing breaches and the response rate to prevent or remediate data breaches.
