Join MAC Golfers on the Course this Year

T

he Golf Committee has been busy planning some fun golf activities. Spring play has begun, with outings already held at Stone Creek, Reserve North and Stone Creek. Spring play continues Sunday, May 1 at Riverside Country Club ($79). Golfers head to Reserve South Sunday, May 15 ($60); to Pumpkin Ridge Sunday, May 22 ($70); and the last spring play is at Quail Valley ($40). This is a great opportunity to play at various courses with MAC friends.

Golf Scramble

The annual Golf Scramble is Friday, June 17 at Quail Valley. This is always a fun event, in which members get to pick their own team of four men or four women. The kickoff is at 9 a.m. Golfers may check in as early as 7:30 a.m., and enjoy coffee and donuts.

The cost is $75 and includes a group lesson and range balls before play. Upon check-in, golfers receive a raffle ticket, and may purchase up to four mulligans at $5 each. After play, there is an awards buffet luncheon where the committee hands out various prizes.

Summer golf

The committee is in the planning stages for summer play, which is no longer called Twilight Golf. Play is usually on the last Sunday in June, July and August. It is a relaxed nine holes of golf with treats and prizes afterward. Watch The Winged M and the website for more details.
