shifts to the Phase I wet area. Most work is occurring during the late evening hours between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., but members should expect disruption to their usual routines as this major project proceeds. begin May 15. This aspect of the project takes place during a nine-week period. During that time, the locker groups, of which there are nine, will be replaced one per week. During each week, lockers replacement, carpet replace- ment and bench refurbishment occurs in that area during that one week window. Please refer to the schedule posted on the website, the
locker room project bulletin boards, and throughout the locker room to determine when individual lockers are impacted. It is important members clean out their lockers by the designated Saturday. The new lockers become available for member occupancy the following Saturday.
“ ” Klaus Mahr, New Willamette View Resident
After 34 years in his house in Northwest Portland, Klaus Mahr decided to move to Willamette View. “Being alone: what do you do when you get older?” says Klaus.
Klaus is thrilled with his new home. “This was such a positive step,” added Mahr, “I wish I had done it sooner. No cooking… no cleaning the yard and gutters… surrounded by friendly people…tons of activities. What’s not to like?”

Bags will be available to help members clean out those accumulated treasures. Invariably the process will be slowed if lockers are not cleared out by occupants, so there may be a fee assessed if the locker is not cleaned out by the deadline.
Locker Combinations
When the lockers are replaced, the combination locks are transferred from the old lockers to the new lockers so there will be no learning a new combination for the vast majority of members.
For members who currently have a key locking mechanism, the club plans to have a combination mailed to them in advance. The current plan is to have the combina- tion sent to the primary account holder so members with locker buddies are asked to share the combination with their buddy.
