ComTrade unterzeichnete einen Vertrag mit Belgiens Anbieter von Spielautomaten und Spielen, Pascual Games über eine anspruchsvolle iGaming-Plattform, die den Kunden des Unternehmens Unterstützung bei der Einführung von Online-Geschäften bieten soll. Der Vertrag sieht die Lieferung einer kom- pletten Online-Gaming-Plattform vor, die den ComTrade Remote Game Server enthalten wird, der es den Betreibern erlaubt, neue Inhalte schneller zu inte- grieren und eine größere Kontrolle über das Online-Erlebnis ihrer Spieler zu gewinnen.


Das italienische Unternehmen Zest Gaming wird Anfang Juni in den italienischen Städten Triest, Olbia und Alghero drei neuartige elektronische Kasinos unter dem Namen Winpalace eröffnen. Die Standorte werden eine Fläche von zwis- chen 200 und 300 m² haben und Platz für je 70 Automaten bieten, eine Mischung aus Comma 6 As und den neuen Video-Lotterie-Terminals.


FutureLogic hat mit der Amaya Gaming Group eine globale Technologievereinbarung unterzeichnet, welche den GEN2 Universal Drucker und den Eclipse Ticket- und Quittungsdrucker als Amayas bevorzugte Drucker festlegt.

Für das Management seiner Kundenverfolgung bei Geldspielautomaten und Tischspielen, seine Abrechnung, Marketingkampagnen und analytischen Berichte hat sich das Grand Falls Casino Resort in Grand Falls, Iowa für das Konami Casino Management System (KCMS) entschieden. Das Grand Falls Casino Resort soll im Sommer 2011 mit 900 Spielautomaten (15 Prozent davon werden von Konami geliefert), 24 Tischspielen und acht Pokertischen eröffnet werden.


Nach einer Zeit umfangreicher Tests und Auswertungen hat das Star City Casino mit einem Test des von der Austrian Gaming Industries GmbH, einer hun- dertprozentigen Tochter der Novomatic AG, produzierten Novo Unity II begonnen. Der Test umfasst 10 NovoStar SL1 Multiplayer-Terminals, die mit einem Auto-Roulette-Wheel und zwei Live-Roulette-Tischen verbunden sind.

Bally Technologies takes its greatest casino games to Italy’s mini-casino market


Bally Technologies took a different path in Italy. While other suppliers chose to supply their games in a restrictive VLT package, Bally refused to compromise its offer. As such, there was little to differentiate between Bally Technologies' exhibit at the Rimini ENADA Spring show and that of its ICE casino stand in London. “There are suppliers in Italy that have chosen to offer a different product mix for the VLT market, following the route of a traditional cabinet with video multi-games packages,” stated Bally Technologies' Marco Herrera in Rimini. “We have chosen a different route, bringing our premium products range to the Italian VLT market. Players will be able to experience the full Bally experience in this sector.”


On the Bally stand in Rimini was the only stepper product for the VLT market that's been approved by SOGEI, alongside four premium custom cabinet variations, while the rest of the exhibit bristled with high- end casino products with games that have proven to be the biggest sellers in casino markets across the globe. “Our premium products have defined our offer in the market,” continued Mr. Herrera. “Interest from concessionaires has been phenomenal. We see ourselves in the larger venues, the mini-casino VLT market. Less than eight machines in a location isn’t our sweet spot - as we’re bringing the Vegas experience to Italy.”


Having confirmed orders for 5,400 VLTs, Bally has secured 10 per cent of the entire VLT market in Italy - from a standing start. While the company is optimistic of a June release for its games, its work with SOGEI has progressed well, though as every supplier in the market has discovered, the process is extremely slow. “We have always believed that the long- term strategy is more important than the short-term,” stated Mr. Herrera. “We are very pleased with the response to our products and our approach to this market. Our Playboy products have performed exceptionally in the Italian casino sector, which we believe will be mirrored in the VLT segment as locations seek to attract casino players to their venues. All our VLT products are taken from casino environments in which they have performed exceptionally, and in combination with our traditional cabinets, casino digital toppers and progressives, we have a unique offer for the concessionaires in this market.”

The price that Bally has paid for this exclusive offering is late entrance. Many concessionaires selected their partners early on, before Bally announced its VLT range. “Our involvement in this market was something that many didn't anticipate,” commented Mr. Herrera. “When the concessionaires made their choices they weren’t aware that they could place a Bally machine in their venue. Now they realise that Bally is a game changer in this market and that we can deliver on the promise of true casino gameplay in a VLT package. Operators need to cut their risk in this market and Bally can deliver on that.”


Fireball headlines the product surge from Bally and has achieved excellent performance figures in the US and Latin America. Vegas Hits is also doing superbly in the US, with its double lower and upper wheel that combines a bonus wheel with a money wheel. Signage is another standout on the Playboy Platinum game, a best performing video game alongside Quick Hit Platinum (Bally's best performing game if you take all markets worldwide). Premium products such as Cash Spin with Bally’s unique U-spin technology in the Pro Series V22/22ins. cabinet have all made the conversion to the Italian VLT market and await roll-out.
