DRAMATIC GROWTH OF SWISSPACER AT MAGDEN


Sales of Swisspacer, the market leading warm edge spacer bar, have increased dramatically at Magden, one of its distributors in the UK. With four branches across the country - Manchester, Rotherham, Leeds and Newcastle - delivering nationwide, Magden’s sales have rocketed to record levels since May 2010, and are currently four times what they were 12 months ago.


Sales Manager Jim Smith says more companies are realising the benefits of using Swisspacer for top performing sealed units which achieve better Window Energy Ratings (WERs).

INTEGRATED MARKETING AT THE CUTTING EDGE


London, Bristol and Leamington Spa were introduced to the future of marketing in a recent workshop and webinar organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing Construction Industry Group (CIMCIG). The ground-breaking event was held simultaneously in three centres at these locations, with live links between venues. Each speaker addressed a different aspect of online marketing, from blogging, advertising and PR to social networking. Jane Rigby, of construction specialist MRA Marketing, addressed the issue of Integrated Marketing.


“Digital marketing must form part of an integrated strategy, not an


afterthought,” said Jane, who outlined practical measures for effective online and traditional marketing.


“It can’t be ignored – business online is now the norm. Most companies in construction have some presence on the web but increasing numbers are looking at extending their reach to include blogs, social networks, twitter etc, but aren’t sure which applications are likely to be useful, or how to use them for maximum return on investment. Those who plan effectively, and make the most of their own resources and outside expertise, are well placed to capitalise on the opportunities available.”
