cardiffartsinstitute.org The long bank holiday weekend starting 27 May will find the booking-hungry Cardiff Arts Institute cementing their support for South Wales’ dance scene. Electric Sheep is a celebration of the last few years’ worth of development of the electronic landscape this side of the border, which circa 2011 is thriving like never before. Inhabiting the Institute’s transformed backyard (assuming decent weather) will be an array of fresh acts, mostly from Wales with some from further afield. Darkhouse Family [pictured], Monky, Didz, CRST, Zwolf, Ratcatcher and Owain K are just some of the names you can expect to see, while Kitsune London trio Is Tropical play an early set on Friday.
