Six Nations team of the tournament Every fan loves to pick their best side and Neon Magazine is no different. Below is our Six Nations team of the tournament!

1. Paul James – Solid up front, never takes a backward step and puts himself about the park well.

2. Matthew Rees – Has improved on set pieces massively this season and makes good ground going forward. Leads from the front.

3. Dan Cole – Immense scrummager and powerful in the loose. Cornerstone of England pack.

4. Paul O’Connoll – Always at the breakdown quickly and lives on the edge of the law but a canny master.

5. Lionel Nallet –Two tries against Wales. A great lineout presence and strong going forward. Great pace for a big lad.

6. Sean O’Brien – You try to stop him. Rampages like a demented buffalo and hits hard in the tackle too.

7. Sam Warburton – Wales’ most outstanding player. Made countless turnovers and put in some massive hits. Ran good support for his try.

8. Sergio Parisse – Italy’s key player. They should build a statue to him in Rome. Immense going forward and in defence. Led Italy to their best win ever.

9. Morgan Parra – Always looks out of place at nine but is dangerous around the set piece and has a lightening service. Also kicks the points.

10. Toby Flood – Controlled and consistent. Made breaks, kicked points and strong tactically. Exactly what is needed in a Fly Half.

11. Maxime Medard – Absolutely electric with ball in hand. Scored four tries in the tournament but looks like scoring every time he touches the ball. The type of player who makes a defence panic.

12. Sean Lamont – Not a natural inside centre but straightened Scotland’s line and massive in defence. Possibly Scotland’s best player in the tournament.

13. Brian O’Driscoll – Showed why he is still Ireland’s captain and his try against England took him past a 78-year-old record for tries in a tournament.

14. Chris Ashton – Top scorer in the tournament.

15. Andrea Masi – If fullback is the last line of defence then Andrea Masi is the man. Superb under the high ball and a strong tackler. Ran fantastic lines and picked up two tries as well.
