my life: training workers for the work of training others. Please allow me to tell you of one of
these men with whom I work. When I met him and his wife, they were in one of our churches in central Texas. They had come from a charismatic background, and as I met with them, it became appar- ent that the lady did most of the teaching, leading, and so on. We gently began to

meet with them for Bible Study, prayer, and training. As we worked and learned, I began to notice a real change in him as God taught him not only doctrinal truths, but also practical principles concerning a man’s leadership role in the church, family, and society. He began to teach, preach, and lead in our Hispanic work. One of the joys of my life has been to observe the spiritual growth of men who desire to serve our Lord. Taffy and I moved to another church and it became apparent that the Lord wanted to continue our relationship with this brother. He and his family moved with us to Heritage Baptist where we both continue to serve in the Hispanic ministry of our church. He con-
tinues to learn, teach, and lead in our Hispanic work and is dealing with the Holy Spirit as to his future in ministry. Ruperto and Francisca are humble servants who want God’s will for their lives to be
accomplished. As we work together, other Hispanics grow under the leadership of this humble man of God. As we teach others, his role is vital to the growth of our Hispanic ministry. When I am away, he already leads all the Hispanic work. His goal is to teach what he has learned to others and pray as they teach it to others. There are many men working in
Hispanic ministries who need our daily prayers. Ruperto is only one who is faithfully serving our Lord. n
