17:30 - 22:00 FROME FESTIVAL FEAST This year’s Festival Feast joins forces with Acoustic Plus to present fine food and music inside and out along Frome’s South Bank. There will be space to stand, dance, sit and eat and an area for children’s activities. Food stalls run by Frome enterprises will offer a range of global cuisines made from locally sourced ingredients. Performers include the Boot Hill All Stars, Kimwei, Australia’s Fergusson on Irish bouzouki, and jazz duo John Law and Nick Sorenson. 22:00 LATE NIGHT CANDLELIT CHORAL CONCERT Music director David Ogden conducts the critically-acclaimed Exultate Singers in a debut festival performance at the annual late night candlelit concert. As this year’s festival celebrates the town’s links with the Pre-Raphaelite art movement in the 1850s, the concert pays tribute to its artistic influence on the next generation of British composers, with works by Elgar, Stanford, Ireland, and Parry, while special backlighting of the church’s Burne-Jones Pre-Raphaelite stained-glass windows provides a stunning setting for the performance.
