Working in Scotland
In 2010 we published ‘An Introduction to Peer Mediation – a young person’s guide’, building on our experience of delivering mediation training through our Pathfinder project. Sales of this, and our popular Working with Gangs training manual for youth professionals are steady.
CIRV commissioned Leap to provide training for the Strathclyde Police and its partners, with funding from the Scottish Government to engage gang members and ultimately reduce violence, leading to the near halving of violent crime in parts of the East End of Glasgow.
“ By working with Leap to achieve a common goal of supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged young people we will help improve the lives of not only individuals, but those of whole communities.”
Terrence Higgins Trust “ Leap’s energy,
commitment and pure determination to make a difference to young people’s lives was a really strong foundation... it’s been one of the best partnerships that I’ve ever been involved with”
Sue Jenkins, Westminster City Council
