Are you an ideas person?
Tower Hamlets Involvement Network (THINk) has a new project in Mile End East/Bromley by Bow to engage people who live, work or study in the area, to help improve local health and social care services. Poplar HARCA is working in partnership with THINk to support the project.
The project is looking for people who have ideas and want to develop solutions and actions that will make a difference and have a real impact on local health services. THINk supports six volunteer-led groups; four that are based in local GP surgeries; Bromley by Bow, St. Andrew’s, St. Paul’s Way and Stroudley Walk and two that focus on healthy lifestyle activities; based in the Burdett and Linc Centres and Kingsley Hall.
We need people who have some time to spare, who have ideas about making improvements, who don’t mind talking to other people and who want to make a difference.
If you would like to find out more or come to an introductory session, email Shafina at THINk:

Do you have a long-term condition?
The local authority, Barts and the London Trust and NHS Tower Hamlets plan to redesign services for people with long-term conditions to improve your experience. Tower Hamlets Involvement Network (THINk) is researching how people manage their long-term conditions, so this is your chance to help design services to meet patient’s needs. All information provided by you is completely anonymous.
There are lots of ways for people with long-term conditions to get involved.
• Tell us your experience of services through a one to one interview. • Do a face-to-face survey with one of our staff.
• Do an online survey at
www.surveymonkey.com/s/THINkLTC or go to the THINk website
http://www.thinknetwork.org.uk and follow the link.
• Participate in a small group discussion. • Keep a four-week diary/record of your contact with health providers.
Call THINk on 020 8223 8922 and speak to Carol or Shamsur to take part. The research will be taking place through May 2011.
