Welcome to the 16th Infosecurity Europe. Cybercrime is increasing with the cost to the UK economy estimated at £27bn per year according to the Office of Cyber Security & Information Assurance. To help organisations meet this ongoing threat we have brought together hundreds of exhibitors showcasing the latest products and services in the ever-changing IT security arena. Infosecurity Europe 2011 plays host to Europe's largest FREE three day educational programme addressing both strategic and technical issues facing Information Security professionals, drawing on the experience of senior end users, technical experts and real life case studies. The Keynote Programme includes David Smith, Deputy Commissioner from the Information Commissioner’s Office who will provide an update on the increased powers of the Information Commissioner to assess organisations compliance with data protection laws. Other hot keynotes with a plethora of CISOs include “Advanced Persistent Threats” led by Professor John Walker, with SOCA, Betfair and Virgin Media; “Social Media - What's The Problem” led by Bryan Glick, Editor-In-Chief, ComputerWeekly with the MoD, Investec Bank, Michael Page International and the Cobra Group; “Compliance Juggernauts” led by Des Ward, President, CSA UK & Ireland with Nottingham City Council, Field Fisher Waterhouse and Capita Group; Securing The Cloud led by Bob Tarzey, Director, Quocirca with Bank Of America; DAF Trucks and Barclaycard; “Mobile Devices The Next Big Security Hole” led by Nigel Stanley, Practice Leader Security, Bloor with NHS, Dumfries & Galloway, NFU Mutual and Lehman Brothers.
