Workshop 4. Cash Don’t Buy You Class – Making The Most Of Your Security Monitoring Investment

Organisations invest significantly in security technology, but how effective are their controls? Do enterprises make the best use of the technology they have and does that deliver an accurate and current view of their security stance? Don will discuss the evolution of security monitoring, the importance of having a complete view of the threats that exist and discuss some examples where effective monitoring may have made a significant difference to security incidents.

• How can enterprises achieve in depth security defence while also gaining and sustaining compliance?

• What challenges are being created by the requirements of an ever increasing security threat and compliance landscape?

• With the deployment of a wide range of security technologies from various suppliers what happens when millions of security events across disparate devices fail to assist in fully protecting information assets?

• How can organisations find and react quickly to the real threats which have potentially serious consequences for information assets?
