Anaheim Lady Ducks Fashion Show Recap


On March 14th, the Anaheim Lady Ducks hosted the fourth annual Lady Ducks Fashion Show at The Balboa Bay Club & Resort. The Lady Ducks Fashion Show is the primary fundraising event held by the Anaheim Ducks players’ wives and signifi- cant others each year. This season’s event was a terrific day full of fashion and fun all to raise money to support the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC Children’s). The Fashion Show was a sell-out event


with more than 300 in attendance. Guests enjoyed a beautiful day in Newport Beach and spent their afternoon bidding on silent auction items and participating in the event’s opportunity drawing and surprise puck sale for the chance to win such fabu- lous items as a Samsung 46” LED flat- screen, South Coast Plaza gift cards, and beautiful jewelry from both Mardo Jewelry Inc. and DeBeers.

Anaheim Ducks host and producer Kent French and KTLA-5’s meteorologist Henry DiCarlo, included a fashion show presented by Saks Fifth Avenue and South Coast Plaza and featured all of the latest Saks Fifth Avenue Spring 2011 trends. Following the professional fashion show, Ducks players Ryan Getzaf, Teemu Selanne, Saku Koivu, Luca Sbisa, Cam Fowler, Corey Perry, Bobby Ryan and George Parros, accompanied by CHOC Children’s Ambassadors, took to the run- way where the players modeled looks from Saks Fifth Avenue, and the children showed off their SoCal-style wearing clothes by O’Neill. The festivities concluded with a live auc-


tion featuring great Ducks experiences and travel packages. Items included auto- graphed Ducks limited-edition camouflage jerseys autographed by Teemu Selanne and Cam Fowler, the opportunity to spend a “game” day in the life of an Anaheim
