KARL STORZ offers products to simplify air- way management unexpectedly difficult intu- bations. The KARL STORZ C-MAC® Video Laryngoscope is designed for portable use, with virtually no learning curve, owing to its use of standard-shaped Macintosh blades in size 2, 3 and 4. The D-Blade was then added for more difficult intubations of anterior air- ways. The latest additions are the Miller size 0 and 1 blades for neonatal intubations. Still im- ages and video sequences can be recorded quickly and simply on an SD memory card. A
distally mounted CMOS chip provides at least an 80° field of view, optimizing visualization. A waterproof transport bag facilitates use in emergency settings, allowing direct operation of the C-MAC® monitor inside the protective bag. The bag option and the durable stainless steel blades make the system ideal for EMS use.
