Five Senses of You

(A Children‘s Picture Book) By Christine Palm

When I was away, I missed you, my baby. You were there in all that I saw. I saw the sea, And see-saws of children, And docks with small ships, And smock lace and a clock face and once, the tip Of a paintbrush dipped in blue ink. And each night, from my window, I saw a large moon that hid in the clouds and then peeked in my room like a faraway bulb floating in place. But nothing I saw was as bright as your face.

When I was away, I missed you, my baby. You were there in all that I heard.
