“Thumbs down, a huge ‘thumbs down’ for House Rep. Lambert for allowing his holster and firearm to fall to the floor at the state house with a huge crowd on hand. Leave the weapon at home, it has no place at the State House.”
“Thumbs up to Janet Daigle and her helpers for the wonderful job they do working with the kids in the Pelham parks and recreation theatre program. And another big ‘thumbs up’ to the cast of Monsters Under the Bed! Great job kids!”
“Thumbs down to the town of Pelham for not looking into purchasing the yellow house for sale beside the
HS...now wouldn’t it make sense to buy as much land as we can ... considering as soon as we lose the accreditation next year the state will make us rebuild and we could use the extra land.”
“Thumbs up... obviously we must have voted in
a resource officer for the PES
...cause there seems to be a police car there everyday...I know this whole Bullying this is being taken to the EXTREME these days...but wouldn’t they be more useful taken care of actual crimes, rather than making a mountain out of a mole hill about bullying...”
“Thumbs down, I am not a recent transplant
(22 years in Pelham) and I am raising children in Pelham and do not consider them hillbillies. Of course I was referring to the ‘no’ voters who refer
to themselves as hillbillies. If you read correctly, the major revelation is that these people are doing a disservice to their hardworking relatives but you, being from Pelham had to twist the whole thing putting me down and putting Mass people down again too. Maybe you aren’t as far along as you seem to think. Most people do not think Pelham is the Great White North, only the town with the Great run down fire station and school buildings.”
“Thumbs up.... way up for all the parent volunteers who donated food or their time (or both!) to the team Chess Championships last Saturday. You all really came through and you should be very proud
of your kids. They represented the town and their school extremely well and are one of the best groups of kids I’ve ever worked with. The tournament wouldn’t have been half as good without the refreshments for everyone. Special thanks to Mrs. Collins and Mrs. Szyszlo for running things and Mrs. Noel for getting the info to the paper. Finally “thumbs up’ to the kids from Pelham for showing the state of New Hampshire who has the best chess group around! You guys rock!”
“Thumbs down to Republican Representatives in Concord who have forgotten who they represent. You represent all the blue collar workers in our great state, the handicapped, the mentally challenged and the elderly who live here. The budget you have sent to the Senate harms all of us in those categories. How can you profess to be helping create jobs when you endanger all the public employees by eliminating our ability to collectively bargain. We will have no choice come election time but to vote for new representatives who can stand up for us in a more responsible manner.”
“Thumbs down to the selectmen of Pelham for proposing a special election for a new mega firehouse. The tax payers have turned down the firehouse several times. The selectmen know that a special election will have a very small turn out

mostly pro firehouse special interest voters. They don’t care that the Seniors live on CD’s paying 1% interest, two income households are now one income or less, households with incomes have taken pay cuts. They act as overweight eaters at a buffet, they don’t plan on leaving anything on the table. Shame on the selectmen for trying to bypass the voters.”
“Thumbs down to the Pelham school board for not supporting the children in town. They have tried to pass a over built high school and lose all the state aid, they have tried to pass a over built kindergarten and lose all the state aid. Can’t wait to see there next over built failing plan. They need to learn to not be so greedy.”
“Thumbs up to Twister for giving us over 14
years of being such a loving and wonderful beagle. We will always remember and love you. You are sorely missed by your family.”

with the harsh reality of winters’ snow, also adding to my dilemma was realizing that our snow blower wouldn’t cooperate, and so ultimately we were stranded, but thanks to the owner of Ray’s State Line store, Paul Marchand ,for taking the time to clear out the end of our driveway at every storm. Thanks to him we were able to access our driveway safely, your grateful neighbors Mary & Paul of Mammoth Road.”
“Thumbs down to the people/organizations that think they can drive their 4-wheelers or organize a walk on the gas line that runs through people’s back yards. This is private property and it’s not appreciated to see and hear people in our back yards. If you’d like to organize a hike or something, you should ask permission from the homeowners ahead of time. If you are out joyriding, do it on your own property.”

administration. As a concerned parent it has recently been made known to me that in the past two 5th grade boys left school grounds and were wandering around out in the woods. When they were finally found and brought into the assistant principal, they were simply told to go back out to recess and play and not to leave school grounds again. To me this is a serious aggression of school policy and these boys could have been lost, harmed, or abducted. This should not be allowed to go on.”
“Thumbs up. Once again everybody was faced

“Thumbs down to the Pelham Selectmen. Here we go again. Just like the School Board. Setting the stage for a special election - this time for a new fire station. They are trying to make us believe we need to move the fire station because putting in the roundabouts are going to create a dangerous situation and decrease response times. I have a solution for the selectmen - DON’T PUT IN THE ROUNDABOUTS - problem solved. The State isn’t telling us we have to put them in. This decision to change our entire center of town which is only going to create a nightmare is coming from our one and only intelligent Board
of Selectmen without any say from the voters!”
