MOST FUNERAL POLICIES ALLOW YOU TO CHOOSE:
•Cover for your own funeral costs; •Cover for the funeral costs of yourself and your immediate family; or
•Cover for your funeral costs for you and those of your extended family (parents, parents-in-law, etc).
•Always shop around for a policy with the best cover, suitable benefits and one that is within your price range. The best way to do this is to contact an accredited insurance company or a financial adviser.
•It is advisable to check if the company providing the funeral policy is registered with the Financial Services Board (
www.fsb.co.za).
•If you have any other policies, ensure that you do not select benefits that you already have in your portfolio. Remember that you pay for all the optional benefits offered on a policy.
