SOMFY & EXCEL COMPLETE ROLLER GARAGE DOOR INSTALLATION IN HOLMFIRTH, WEST YORKSHIRE
Somfy have recently supplied the motor and remote controlled device for a new roller garage door installation in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire.
Working alongside major contractor Excel Industrial Doors, Somfy supplied a single-phase 240 volts 50Hz motor complete with external manual override facility, fitted to an SWS SeceuroGlide roller garage door. The door was constructed from 3” insulated aluminium lath and finished in powder-coated Blue. Additional safety features were built into the specification, including Somfy’s Rollertec receiver which includes a wireless safety edge system, built in courtesy light, internal push buttons and 2 hand transmitters.

SOMFY LAUNCHES NEW CONSUMER WEBSITE
March 2011 saw the launch of the new Somfy UK website; redesigned, revitalised and re-launched with a vibrant look, exciting new content, significant layout updates and featuring the latest new products. Bolted on to this site is our new powerful ‘find a dealer’ search tool, engineered for enhanced and precise consumer retailer searches; utilising Google Map technology.
The new site covers information about our products arranged by applications that can be motorised and automated in the home, including; Roller Shutters, Patio Awnings, Garage Doors, Gates, Blinds and Curtains. On each application page you will find animated flash films, presenting the use and benefits of Somfy products in the home as well as links to download product brochures. Consumers can take their interest further by flicking through the online product catalogue, search for their closest Somfy retailer or browse through the Somfy shop to buy replacement handsets online.
The motivation behind the new website has been to launch a ‘Google’ friendly website with enhanced content optimised specifically for targeted keywords so that we can be sure consumers who are looking for Somfy products, are directed to the right place for more information and, in turn, can find you – their closest Somfy installer or retailer.
As well as an enhanced user experience through simple navigation paths and easy access to updated information, the new Somfy website also has a great back-office system so that we can update you and your customers with the latest information in real-time; such as new products, industry news and topics of interest.
