backup business plan. Along with former Eagles linebacker John Bunting, he started a business in Jenkintown, PA, called the Abington Club, which was a golf course, health club and banquet facility, and grew that business to be successful. He says his approach to business is the same as

his approach to playing football: He wants to win. He wants to know the score. He gets daily reports from all of his companies. He makes adjustments and applies the lessons learned on the football field. He believes that in today’s economic environment, success is a by-product of fierce competitiveness and a relentless work ethic. In 2007, Jaworski became a color commentator

for ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcasts, where he currently partners with Mike Tirico and Jon Gruden. He recently became a first-time author with his book, “The Games That Changed the Game,” highlighting seven games in NFL history which greatly changed the strategies and schemes used in NFL football. Jaworski is also a majority owner (along with

New Jersey native Jon Bon Jovi) of the Arena Football League team Philadelphia Soul, which will return to defend its championship next year after the league went on hiatus for a year. The team practices at the Coliseum in Voorhees. Jaworski also organizes his annual Ron Jaworski

Celebrity Golf Challenge every May at the Atlantic City Country Club in Northfield. Held in partner- ship with Harrah’s Atlantic City Resort, the event is the crown jewel of the Jaws Youth Fund’s annual fundraising campaign, which garners approximately $200,000 each year through sponsorship, donations and ticket sales. All proceeds go directly to the Jaws Youth Fund — a partnership of the Jaworski family and the United Way of Camden County that works to promote the future success of at-risk youth. The foundation has raised more than $3 million to date. Last year’s event featured a slew of current and

former athletes and coaches, including Joe Flacco, Rich Gannon, Jon Gruden, Joe Theismann, Darren Daulton,MarkSanchez,HermEdwards,MikeDitka, John Kruk and Bill Cowher. Jaworski demands that his employees and

business partners get involved in philanthropic efforts. He says it’s very important, not only from a business perspective, but as a human being, to be compassionate about other people who are less fortunate. 
