ROM boutique brands to the big-hitters – drinks are set to take centre stage at this year’s ScotHot exhibition. For the fi rst time in the hospitality trade show’s 37-year history, a dedicated on-trade section will bring a host of producers and distributors together to showcase a range of beers, wines and spirits. Organised in association with the Scottish Licensed Trade Association (SLTA), On- Trade@ScotHot will also feature demonstrations, competitions, and seminars, including presentations from the SLTA and BII Scotland. Drinks giant Diageo aims to use On-Trade@ScotHot (stand 4741) to showcase the Guinness Surger – a unit designed to create the same ‘surge and settle’ that’s delivered in a draught Guinness dispense system.


As well as the dedicated drinks section, this year’s ScotHot exhibition will also feature a seminar theatre, which will host a variety of workshops, debates and presentations. The seminar programme gets underway on February 28 with the offi cial launch of Scottish Tourism Week by tourism minister Jim Mather.
