San Diego LGBT community advocates and community members such as the Center’s Latino Services, Urban Pride SD and Women of Color United, who recently formed the LGBT Multicultural Coalition of San Diego. Help make the launch of the newly formed coalition a success and take part in the inaugural Multicultural Explosion Community Festival. There will be workshops, vendor booths, on-site health screening, including HIV and STD testing. HELPING HANDS FOR AUTISM Community Coaching Center (CCC), a nonprofit organization for children and
teens with autism in Hillcrest, announces its first-annual fundraising and awareness campaign. April is Autism Awareness Month so CCC is partnering with local businesses in Hillcrest to raise money and further awareness about the rising epidemic and for their community inclusion program for local children. Customers of participating lo- cal businesses will be asked to donate $1 and show their support for autism services. Donations will be given to the Community Coaching program, which helps kids de- velop appropriate social behavior skills, explore the community and make friends! The campaign will end with an open house at CCC, located at 625 Pennsylvania Ave (6th and Pennsylvania) on April 30th from 5:30-7:30.
