this summer with classes to train students in art of motor racing as they have done for over a quarter of a century.

Drive Yourself Want to go from the grandstands to the track? Try the F1 New Jersey that offers a one-mile paved go-kart experience for beginner (starting with 12 year olds) and expert drivers. These machines are real racers, capable of reaching speeds up to 60 miles per hour. It’s a great experience for birthdays, club and business outings, and bachelor parties. And, at $35 for the first
session – kart and safety equipment included – it’s the cheapest way to try racing! There are other ways to get onto the big
tracks-car clubs, most based on manufac- turer marquees like Corvette and Porsche clubs, rent the track for members to drive laps in their high performance vehicles. Other schools, like Bertil Roos, will teach you to drive laps in their own vehicles. New Jersey Motorsports Park also offers
the Drivers Club, a country club atmos- phere with annual dues that entitle mem- bers to 30 days on the track and access to the facilities including clubhouse, tennis courts, pro shop, and free admission to all spectator events at the track for members and their families. ■ Information on tickets, karting, camping, membership, or visiting is available at
