Obituary Obituaries


Pelham, died March 17, 2011, at Lowell General Hospital, Lowell, MA, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of the late John P. Langenfeld, Sr., who predeceased her in 2004.


Born in Cambridge, MA, on December 19, 1945, the daughter of the late James and Mabel (Maxim)


Montague. She received her education in the Wilmington, MA, school system and was a graduate of Wilmington High School class of 1963.


Mrs. Langenfeld devoted her life to tending to the needs of her


family. Her most cherished times were spent in the company of her grandchildren. She never missed the opportunity to attend sporting events, dance recitals, and family gatherings. She enjoyed watching New England sports teams, camping and getaways with her husband and family. She is survived by her seven children, John Jr. and Sandra Langenfeld of Wilmington, Michael and Susan Langenfeld of Sanbornton, James A. and Lisa Langenfeld of Pelham, Marc Langenfeld of Dracut, MA, Jeffrey Langenfeld of Pelham, Michelle and William Harper of Somersworth, and Jacquelyn and Peter Hemmerdinger of Pelham. She was the proud Gramma to Johnny, Joshua, Rachel, Deven, Steven, Cassie, Jimmy, Conor, Cadan, and Petey.


She was also the mother of the late Kimberly A. Langenfeld. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on March 21 at St. Francis


Church in Dracut, MA. Interment was in Gibson Cemetery, Pelham. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Town of Pelham Police Officer, Entry Level Position


The Pelham, New Hampshire Police Department will be conducting a hiring process for a Patrol Officer Position.


The testing process will consist of a written examination, physical agility test, oral board, psychological test, polygraph test, background investigation, medical exam, and an interview with the Chief of Police.


Candidates who are certified full time Police Officers will be exempt from the written exam provided the candidate submits a copy of their fulltime Police Officer certification.
