One of our hottest tips: the production of three of our house wines, all from the Right Bank, is overseen by the same team responsible for Châteaux Trotanoy, Magdelaine and Hosanna, amongst others. These are our great friends at Etablissements J-PMoueix, a hugely respected company whether wearing their négociant hat or that of prestigious property owners. Their quality stamp shows through at every level, from the very top end where we have to allocate wines, through to our good old Company Reserve.
Corney & Barrow Company Reserve is a Merlot dominated blend offers excellent value – classic claret from a great year. Likewise, Corney & Barrow Saint-Emilion and Pomerol provide wines which are both true to their origins and bear the hallmark Ets. J-PMoueix quality, flair and value for money.Our Corney & Barrow House Claret, another faithful friend, is blended by the Corney & Barrow buying team with the help ofMaison Sichel’s oenologist Ivan. For a white wine option, Corney & Barrow House White is a perennial favourite in- house. Sourced from our very long-standing suppliers Plaimont, in Gascony, South-West France and blended by our buying team, it punches well above its weight – deliciously refreshing and highly recommended.
We cannot indulge ourselves every day with the most rare and fine wines so these are all fantastic, weekday drinking, offering exceptional value with no crisis of conscience.
