Good at mission

‘Rural churches are good at mission’ is a constant theme of Making Connections. Drawing on stories from rural experience around the country, this easy to use workbook is in six sections: Working with Others, Land and Buildings, Including Young People, Sharing Faith, Working with Schools, Creative Worship.

Whether you use this book as a whole congregation, in groups or on your own you will find ideas and inspiration from using Making Connections.

The stories of rural churches engaging in mission are supplemented by questions, action points, Bible studies and key learning points. The final section draws the others together to show how worship can be designed to complement mission activity in the local community.

‘Rural churches are good at mission’ and Making Connections, in celebrating this good news story, offers practical assistance to further enhance the work of the churches in rural areas. 

Raising money…

A very resourceful way of raising money for a church building project has been sent to the Country Way office. Revd Martin Green, Priest in Charge of two rural parishes in Warwickshire has recorded two CDs of worship songs and spiritual music.

Sales are made via a simple website and all profits go to the building project. Take a look and be inspired. 
