Quantum

Quantum Health magazine!

Welcome to the April issue of I

t’s a great time of new beginnings—Spring is upon us and we can finally leave the winter blues behind.

We at Quantum Health are constantly looking for new subjects to explore in the world of well- being, energy healing, information medicine and new discoveries (which often end up being ‘old’ knowledge handed down by our ancestors, dressed up in a different robe). It seems fitting then that in this issue we have a truly remarkable account of Native American ‘narrative healing’ from Dr Lewis Mehl- Madrona in an interview with QH US Editor Joan Parisi Wilcox. Dr Mehl-Madona’s work uses the idea that everything is a story, that everything that really matters is part of a story and how this story can impact on your health. This is an inspiring piece and I am sure it will resonate with you as much as it did with us.

April is also a time when national campaigns are out in force to support the gut—IBS awareness month and Bowel Cancer awareness month. As most who have studied TCM will know, most gut related complaints tend to be fear-based, as energetically we generally hold fear in our gut, but let’s not also forget that we also hold our intuition in our gut. Arielle Essex has written a piece on intuition and gut instinct explaining how valuable a tool it is for as in all areas of our lives. Gut instinct is just that, an instinct. It’s whether or not you act on it that is the important bit.

We take great delight in introducing new writers this month: Biophysicist Jaz Rasool who talks about the science in synchronicity, Chrissy White who is gracing our cover and will be showing us why raw food is not difficult once you get started (check out the video clips—you’ll be drooling) and Lily Dawn Robertson on the real health benefits of Laughter Yoga, which we should all do every day and not just to keep our spirits up it seems.

Again Thornton Streeter brings us the latest on research in the world of energetic healing, and Yuliya Cohen is back again with a really interesting take on trauma point treatment protocol, it could be that we literally miss the ‘point’. Interesting.

We have created a new page to flag up interesting video clips that are doing the rounds, and I hope you’ll enjoy this month’s choice. If you come across a clip you feel would be interesting or useful for others to share, do please send them to me: trina@quantumhealthmagazine.com and we’ll see which we will put in the next issue.

Finally, the team at Quantum Health magazine would like to send our thoughts to all who have suffered in Japan after the devastation left behind after the earthquake and subsequent tsunami, followed by the ongoing worry faced by the prospect of radiation fallout from the nuclear power plant in Fukushima. I know there are many who have organised intention meetings, prayer meetings and other activity to offer support during this difficult time. We can only hope that life will improve very quickly for those affected.
