Have Fun, Gain Levity with Yoga Class
Y
oga is often a gateway for entry into a quiet, meditative, or spiritual place that can have innumerable benefits. However, yoga has many faces, and fun is one of them. In fact, the ancient yogis believed that happiness is a person’s true nature. If levity sounds appealing, join in this month’s Friday Focus April 15 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Participants delve into play with exciting twists, forward bends, and balancing poses. This workshop-style class includes revolved half moon, a standing twist on one leg, and revolved bird of paradise. Foundation work helps prepare participants to explore these challenging poses. The instructor is MAC yoga member Coach Amy Stone. This class is appro- priate for anyone willing to laugh inside of effort, surrender the idea of competi-
tion, and embrace openness to possibilities. Through smart sequencing, participants open the body for deeper poses with a light-hearted approach. No matter what students’ experience with yoga is, there are some level of these poses for everyone. Class size is limited.
