VERYONE will have been touched by the tragic newspaper images and TV footage to come out of Japan this past month and many local people have rallied to raise funds for those in need. Our congratulations go out to one particular fund-raiser, eight-year-old Lara Evans of Lowedges, who was so moved by the devastation that she came up with her own way to raise money. Together with two friends, Lara, of Lowedges, baked different flavoured buns and sold them door-to-door to friends and family, making £30. Greenhill Primary School pupil Lara then made thank-you cards to give to those who donated. The money raised will be donated to Comic Relief. Well done!
