ALLIANZ MUSICAL INSURANCE PROVIDING A PLATFORM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION

At Allianz Musical Insurance we are avid supporters of musicians and believe it’s important to give upcoming acts an avenue to get the recognition they deserve.

As the largest musical insurer in the UK, our role is to make sure you’re onstage to do what you do best. But we’re not just about protecting your instruments if they are lost, stolen or broken; we’re also devoted to developing the UK’s musicians of the future.

We work closely with a number of musical organisations, who focus on improving the range of opportunities available to young people interested in music. These organisations include Musicians’ Union, the International Guitar Foundation and the Music for Youth’s National Festival.

When it comes to insuring your instruments we are specialists – we understand the music industry and your specific needs. Our PowerPlay policy is specifically designed to cover all forms of ‘powered’ instruments, from electric guitars to synthesizers and digital production tools, as well as drum kits, making it the perfect cover for individual musicians, bands or DJs.

FIRESUITE

Having toured with And So I Watch You From Afar, Rolo Tomassi and Jeniferever, Firesuite seem to balance the furious with the flighty. Focusing on atmosphere rather than song structures, their dense shroud of guitars and percussion can switch from a Persil-advert clothes drying breeze to a hurricane gale. Check http:// soundcloud.com/firesuite to hear the contrast for yourself. Both tracks are part of the forthcoming debut album, currently untitled, from the Sheffield quartet recorded with long-term collaborator Tom Henthorn. Firesuite seem set to join the array of exhilarating, churning, dynamic UK rock bands and we’re excited to hear the full-length when it arrives. http://www.firesuite.bandcamp.com

THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH

Leading on nicely from computer noises, the appropriately named The Blue Screen Of Death grapple with stone age riffs that sound like they are dredged up from deep underground. They prog out a little with some solos on occasions too. So as to give you maximum effect, they’ve recorded a live EP which you can listen to on bandcamp, and purchase if you like, so you get the real grit and depth of the archealogy they are performing. Not bad for a band from Southampton (there are no deserts there).
