Rinnai Buderus “Thumbs down, way down to the people that

feel it’s okay to FLY down a 25-30mph road (Garland Drive). We get to play a daily game of Russian roulette just to pull out of our driveway. There are kids and animals everywhere; so, Slow Down!!”

“Thumbs down. Don’t blame not getting

what you want on 437 people. You can’t get a super-majority in this town because we are leaderless and unable to communicate to the 7000 non-voters that is worth their while to make a difference.”

“Thumbs up to finding ways to get people informed and involved in town issues and voting. How about giving each household a $500 tax break for one member attending a deliberative session? I suspect you’d not have a big enough room to have the meeting.”

“Thumbs down, way down... What happened, did the Pelham voters forget to get out there and vote? Did the Pelham voters abuse their right to vote? Did the voters forget to read the ballot? The obvious is clear! The uninformed voters took the ballot and simply voted ‘NO!’ Across the board, straight down the ballot ‘NO.’ How embarrassing. How can you say with any pride, ‘I’m from Pelham NH.’ The ‘Welcome to’ signs should be replaced with ‘We Don’t Care.’ Our firefighters both need and deserve a better facility. The residents of Pelham need and deserve a better facility. When the state starts construction on the ‘new’ traffic rotary, there will be no getting in or out of the current station.”

Road. As local concerned neighbors it is great to see the recognition that this area is a major wild life corridor and can connect some major sections of town land to add value to our wild life inventory and over all connection. We hope that the land owner who is vested in our town will negotiate with the Committees to work towards a solution to obtain the proposed Dummer Road Portion and conserve this great forest.”

“Thumbs up to Pelham and

Ron Hannon at the PERC. He has to run the most efficient professional department in the town. The place looks great, the employees look great and it is very easy to use. And all of the men are so kind and quick to help. The place has changed so much for the better in only one year, it is amazing. He has my vote for mayor, and Larry too. Thank you for all the good work. Our recycling must be really good now.”

“Thumbs down to Pelham Travel Basketball.”

position before you criticize ours. And as a famous Democrat once said: ‘if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.’”

“Thumbs up to the Chausse family for opening up the indoor batting cages for some Little League kids in town on Sunday for FREE. These kids got some great instruction from three or four different Little League Board members and had a blast taking some swings in the cages. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.”

“Thumbs up to the 43 boys and girls who played on the 4 St. Patrick’s CYO basketball teams this season. You represented your school and parish well and played some great basketball too!”

“Thumbs down. You hear these stories in the news recently. Drunken pedestrians falling off the train platform onto the tracks and pedestrians have to save them. I commend anyone who would jump in to help but I never hear anything else about the person who drank so much they couldn’t walk or stand. I’m confused by this. Did they go to jail? Not only for public drunkenness, but for putting other peoples lives in danger because of their stupidity? They should be punished.”

“Thumbs down to the teacher in Pelham spreading gossip, if you don’t like it here try where you came from.”

“Thumbs up to 8th grade Travel Basketball

coach Dave. He gave his time, encouragement and unending patience all without a child of his own on he team. He was dedicated and always there, remaining positive even in a losing game. Thank you for being so generous. The two t-shirts were are a great gift and are appreciated.”

the Pelham Border Riders. It has been a great winter locally and it is truly a gift that we have a local snowmobile trail system that is maintained and groomed by local volunteers. We just want to acknowledge all of the hard work that goes into this system and thank the local land owners that make this possible as well. Great job!”

“Thumbs up to the Pelham conservation board and in conjunction with their forestry committee. We truly hope that the local land owner and business owner on Ledge Road will re-consider the complete build out of their project on Poplar

“Thumbs up to those who write ‘thumbs up’ notes to highlight the positive people in Pelham, because these people know that ‘if you don’t have anything nice to say about somebody, then just don’t say it.’”

“Thumbs up to the teachers

at Pelham High School. I met a 24-year-old young man who went to Pelham High a few years ago. What he said was very interesting. He said that the facilities in the school ‘could be better’ (and he laughed, because we all know they could be so much better), but he was

quick to highlight the fact that his “teachers were excellent” and he received a very good education. It was nice to hear something good about our high school from someone who went there!”

“Thumbs up to Chris Mader and the group of

volunteers who worked so hard and shoveled many feet of snow so we could have a town ice rink to enjoy. In this economy for the town and these men and women to work so hard for us to have a free place to skates is awesome.”

who made Medieval Day such a fun event for the 7th Graders at Windham Middle School! Many thanks go out to the WMS staff, Windham PTA, dozens of parent volunteers, Mr. DiPersio, the McMahon family, Windham Deli, and the Abbey Group for helping to make it a very enjoyable and memorable day.”

“Thumbs down for not having a viable solution to the school situation in Town. To those of you who keep voting no and are proud of it, can you please come forward with a solid plan?”

“Thumbs up to Coach

Crowley, Third Grade Travel Basketball Coach! Awesome season!!! He taught the boys so many new skills and it was

fantastic watching the boys improve more and more each week. I’m not sure what the problem someone seems to have with travel basketball. We had a great experience from start to finish. Thanks, Coach Mike!!!”

“Thumbs up. Congratulations to the 12 Cub

scout Pack 610 Webelo’s 2’s that achieved their Arrow of Light last week. It is the highest Cub Scout award they can earn and took a lot of hard work and effort to complete the requirements. We hope you are all looking forward to many adventures with Troop 610. Thanks to all who helped these scouts on their journey.”

“Thumbs up to the Barrett family for adopting

Rusty, a rescue horse from Beaver Brook Training Farm. I know he will have a great life with your loving family.”

“Thumbs up to Pelham

“Thumbs down. To the longtime sufferer of chronic back pain. First of all you should have gone to a decent doctor and you wouldn’t have back pain, because I have had back pain and I’m just fine. Legalizing marijuana is a cop-

out to an illegal drug and it should not under any circumstance be legalized for anybody.

Require mandatory drug testing of welfare recipients to insure my hard earned money is not being used to support their illegal and self- destructive behavior? Right on, baby. “Thumbs up to one of the Pelham school board committee for asking for a recount on article 7 that requested a $1 psychologist, it passed by 4 votes on the recount. Now our school board can have full time psychiatric care and hopefully be re-educated. All this for only $1, no wonder it passed.”

“Thumbs up to recycling. I go to the PERC twice a week, so ‘thumbs up’ to all the helpful guys there. I don’t understand why I read jerk from PERC, when they are nothing but at work at PERC every time I go. The place looks nice and is up for a big award for recycling by everyone in town. I am sure there is more but why the bad comments, you obviously do not go there and are not the majority. Heck even ‘no’ voters like saving money. You should visit the PERC or talk to someone about what you do not like about a good running place that cuts my taxes. Great job Larry, Bob, Ron and Steve you are all very helpful, always, keep up the good work.”

“Thumbs up to the staff at Howie Glynn’s- from Donna who always makes sure that the coffee is ready, no matter how early you get there.... to Christine who is always in a great mood, to Patty over at the pumps who is the sweetest, happiest person that I have ever met to Stephanie in the afternoon who is always good for a laugh. Thanks!”

but at least try and not be so obvious. When you use the same not-funny-or-creative nickname for the PSB in different ‘thumbs,’ you either think you have started some new trend or people are too dumb to figure out what you are doing. The only people who will fall for that are the same people who make their voting decision based on spray painted plywood signs (Hi Kevin!) instead of experts that the town used tax-dollars to hire to recommend the best solution.”
