team put up big numbers when it came to personal records. Fifty-two of the team’s 55 swimmers posted personal best times in 102 of their 160 individual events. “These were no small numbers,” says Aquatics Director Missy Rowell. “These kids were taking off huge amounts of time!” Emma Olsen and Carmela Souza started the trend in the first event of the meet, with Emma shaving 3.5 seconds and Carmela lopping off 11.61 seconds of their 200 IM seed times. Not to be outdone, Celeste Souza and Kyana Baiguy followed that performance with 14.74- and 14.58-second improvements in their 500 freestyles. Jenna Palmisano took an amazing 18.53 seconds off her previous best in the 500 free as well. More big numbers followed throughout the weekend. On Saturday, Meaghan Annis, Marikia Bogdanovich, Tayla Caplis, Colby Burns, and Hunter Cullen each took over 5 seconds off their 100 freestyle times, while Johanna Dillaway bested her 50 freestyle time by 8.72 seconds.
