34 GOLF DEVELOPMENT INNOVATION
Never Compromise look ahead with a new logo, new direction and new attitude and their first business pitch turned many heads at the recent PGA Merchandise Show. With something of a retro wink towards understanding what a putter is: a tool for gambling; gambling on sinking the putt, gambling to win the bet, NC bring you the Gambler.
Tese limited edition putters will only
be offered to exclusive accounts within EU, allowing loyal followers to offer something special to the consumer. With limited distribution and limited quantity, these products will soon become hard to find which in turn should drive consumer demand. Te Gambler is the first series of three for
the year ahead, all designed for the consumer to customise to their liking via paint fill and personalisation. Tis will also keep the product fresh at point of sale. Each putter will have a unique artwork to
drive consumer demand – with four models in each launch (a unique serial number marked on the head). Te Gambler series offers the Straight, the
Royal, the Flush and the Boat, all crafted using only the finest materials. Te series features four classic designs, each individually machined with its own artwork on the sole. All models are forged using 303 stainless steel. Te combination of the soft material and the forged grain structure provides unprecedented feel at impact. Machined with perfection as the goal, these putters hold some of the tightest tolerances in the industry. GBD editor Ben Evans was highly impressed
with both the balanced feel of these putters plus the excellent aesthetics in the putter heads. He was fortunate to talk to the Never
Compromise designer Adam Sheldon. Adam said: “It was great to be able to have a brief where I could create something very different in terms of the story, which leant itself to some exciting visual design elements which I hope are appreciated by customers. A lot of thought and passion went into the range from the team and we are very pleased with the end result.” And so they should be. Do you think these will sell at £199 a go? I’d bet my shirt on it!
