Box Hill Institute is a leading vocational and higher education provider with a reputation for delivering a collaborative and creative approach to education in Australia and across the globe. With a long and proud history of delivering a
wide range of courses to local and international students - through five campuses in Melbourne, Australia, and 25 international campuses - Box Hill Institute is truly a global educator. Box Hill Institute currently employs 1500 staff,
delivering more than 200 full and part-time courses, plus 300 short courses to over 40,000 students, representing 8.6 million student contact hours. International students studying at the
Institute’s Melbourne campuses currently number 1800. These students have their origins in more than 60 countries. Our international links are further
strengthened though our extended campuses, which are located in China, Fiji, Indonesia, Kuwait, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Vanuatu and Vietnam. Global enrolments now exceed 5000 per year. Box Hill Institute’s extended campus
operations encompass the development of partnerships with established reputable educational providers. These providers deliver Australian accredited training packages. The extended campus model is designed
to meet the needs of individual partners and the local education market with contextualised teaching and learning materials is delivered within the guidelines of a thorough, quality assurance system. In some cases, the Institute may train all local
staff at a partner institute and deliver courses based on local requirements. China was the first country that Box Hill
Institute established partnerships with. This long- term relationship has now developed across colleges and universities, with courses structured to specifically meet local needs in the areas of engineering, biotechnology, marketing, international business and hospitality. Box Hill Institute is dedicated to providing
education pathways to its students through campuses that include: Shanghai Di Jian University, Shanghai Pharmaceutical School, Zhejiang Institute of Mechanical and Electrical
links
Engineering, Guangdong Food and Drug Vocational School, to name a few. Financially, Box Hill Institute has an excellent record in meeting
performance indicators for government-funded programs and commercial operations. For the year ended 2009, the Institute had a total revenue of A$126.5 million, with assets for the period valued at A$198.6 million. Box Hill Institute is a government-owned Registered Training
Organisation (RTO) No. 4687 in Australia that is fully compliant within the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). The AQTF is the national set of standards that assures
consistent, high-quality training and assessment services for the clients of Australia’s vocational education and training system. The Institute is audited regularly by government authorities to
ensure compliance with AQTF to maintain its RTO registration. It is also registered under the Australian Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS No. 02411J) to enable delivery of programs to international students. Box Hill Institute is contributing to the broader social and
economic development of China though its firm commitment to the provision of innovative, creative, vocational training for its people.
