Chandler is bringing together dozens of companies, agencies and educational entities to meet with residents looking for work or wishing to pursue new employment opportunities.
The Valley wide job fair is called Chandler Career Connect and is part of Mayor Jay Tibshraeny’s Job Initiative. It will feature more than 30 employers, career experts and motivational speakers. The free event is open to the public and held 4 to 9 p.m. Tue., March 29 at Chandler Center for the Arts. It is a direct result of Tibshraeny’s outreach to the community as he responds to the concerns of both employers and residents.
Jay Tibshraeny
“Knowing that unemployment is among our most vital concerns as a city and as a nation, I have worked with staff to launch Chandler Career Connect,” Tibshraeny says. “If your company is hiring, or you know of those who are in need of employment, I invite you to participate.”
To ensure job-seekers are prepared for on-the-spot
interviews at Career Connect, a resume review day is offered four days prior to the event from noon to 4 p.m. Fri., March 25 at the Downtown Chandler Library, 22 S. Delaware St.
Expert volunteers from Maricopa Workforce Connections will review resumes and provide guidance on how job-seekers can improve their chances. Along with a hard copy, candidates are encouraged to bring
