Spirituality Youth group makes difference for Mexican families
Members of Chandler Presbyterian Church’s youth group spent a recent weekend in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico, helping to build homes for local impoverished families.
Working in conjunction with the Amor Ministry and two additional Phoenix-area Presbyterian congregations, Brandon and Karissa Hatch, George Chi, Immanuel and Victor Kamau, along with Chandler Presbyterian Pastor George Saylor and youth group leader Sarah Mihail, spent four days building a house for a couple who will share it with two grandchildren.
“We made a life-changing difference for the family Christ sent us to serve,” says Pastor Saylor. “I was proud of the way the members of our group worked through a cold driving wind and blowing sand to get the job done.”
Chandler Presbyterian Church is located at 1500 W. Germann Rd. in Chandler, between Dobson and Alma School roads. For more information, visit
