Way to bowl – Fulton students capped off their bowling unit with three days of Cosmic Bowling when the gym was converted into a bowling alley complete with bowling lanes, loud music and deejay lights.
Running Club – The Fulton Running Club joined more than 400 runners from five area schools in a 1.5-mile race at Snedigar Sports Complex. The Fulton staff was out in full force to volunteer and keep the race running smoothly, and Hamilton High’s girls’ soccer team provided 24 volunteers to encourage the runners and keep smiles on their faces.
Safeway success – Safeway’s 10% Back to School program earned Fulton more than $1,000. Class notes – Kindergartners in Mrs. Salontai and Mrs. Forney classes learned about American symbols. They had to find five facts using books, Internet or their parents and presented the info in class and to their buddy class. Kindergartners are also learning about the desert, studying climate, plants and animals that live there. Fourth-grade fun – Fourth-graders at Fulton are splashing into a study of water and the water cycle, learning the four processes of evaporation, condensation, precipitation and percolation, as well as a rap song in some classes. —Lisa Shore
