owners of O’Neil Theatres - Apple Tree Mall Cinema 12 in Londonderry, who so generously donated popcorn to Griffin Memorial School’s Family Bingo Night. Your donation helped make our night a huge success and the GMS PTO can’t thank you enough.”

“Thumbs up to the AHS Swim Team!! Three 6

place finishes and a 2nd at the New Englands!! Way to go Jamie, Desirae, Jess, Bec, Christina and Matt!!”

“Thumbs up to Litchfield Recreation Commission

for donating tables to the Griffin Memorial School PTO. Your generosity has allowed the PTO to raise even more money for the children of GMS. THANK YOU!!!”

“Thumbs down to our state representative Randy

Brownrigg for missing 12 out of 48 votes so far.” “Thumbs down to the Fox Hollow Director

who thinks his neighbors are a bunch of dummies. He claims he receives no special favors from the plowing contractor, but the pictures circulating tell a whole different story. Does he expect us to believe that a motorized snowblower is really only a snow shovel? Does he expect us to believe the man in the green safety suit operating the snow blower is really his wife? If so, then is the woman who lives in his condo just the dog walker? What kind of fool does he take us for?”

job!!! All the work you put into it definitely showed! Primo- awesome accent!!! Vincent- ‘squeaky clean!!!’

Isabella- ‘I’ll kill you myself!!’ Sisters- love

that sister talk!!! Tito & Dino- hilarious!!! Had a lot of fun!!! Encore!!”

“Thumbs down to the unsigned flyers placed on

Litchfield resident’s mailboxes this past weekend. If you feel that strongly put your name on it. How does anyone know that those statements are true anyway?”

“Thumbs up to the new ‘Litchfield School Board

Member’...Patricia D’Alleva...the voters’ have spoken! She is the best choice for this town in the interest of all of the students who attend and will be attending Litchfield Schools. Listen to her, she has great ideas starting with her advocating for the children and their achievements.

“Thumbs down. A local newspaper said that

you lead the team; well they’re right that you’ve led the team in points. However, you are not a leader. You have consistently disrespected your teammates and coaches throughout the season. Now, you’ve resorted to physically assaulting your teammate.

stop because there was so much ice?? I dread that thought! Parents need to take more responsibility for their children. LOOK BOTH WAYS! Or better yet your kindergartner/first grader shouldn’t be walking to school ALONE.”

“Thumbs down- When you notice your trash has

blown out of your recycling bins and has polluted your neighbors yard, get off your bottom and pick it up! I am tired of cleaning up trash and cigarette buts from my yard.”

“Thumbs up to Katherine from Hudson performing in the Peacock Players production of School House Rock Live!”

“Thumbs up to the Legislator and Governor of It’s not just playing

politics with Trish...If nothing else listen to what she has to say!!!! You go girl!”

Wisconsin for having the courage to stand up for the taxpaying citizens of Wisconsin and say in one resounding voice ‘NO’ to the abuse of municipal Unions! Will New Hampshire follow or will we cower in fear of these Unions as they demand full funding of their pensions this year?”

It’s

time for you to grow up and realize that life is not all about you. Look around; there are many others on your team who are there every day, working hard and working as part of the team. While they may not lead in points, they certainly lead the team by example of sportsmanship, courtesy and respect.

I

hope you learn something from this suspension and I hope that the rest of the team, full of true leaders, moves on and wins without you.”

Hollow.

“Thumbs up to the snow plow / landscapers at Fox I have lived here over 20 years, and you

guys have done an awesome job this year! Thanks! Keep up the good work.”

“Thumbs down to the Fox Hollow resident who

complained about the snowplowers. Don’t know where you are, or how long you’ve lived here, but they’ve done one of the best jobs that I’ve seen in my 20-year residence. They’ve been out there round

“Thumbs down!!! After spending a lot on over priced costumes for dance (to be worn once)... they all come in made for someone else and not my girls. Now I have to pay to have them altered. How unfair is that... Maybe next time you should have a professional come in to properly measure the girls. I am not the only one unhappy!!”

“Thumbs down to not recycling. It’s so

the clock when necessary (I know, I’m a night owl!), even cleaning the walkways and front steps! Try keeping up with all that snow we’ve had this year yourself, if you think they’re doing such a bad job!”

“Thumbs up the Litchfield

Recreational Basketball Program! Another great season due to the hard work of the kids and the dedication and commitment of the coaches.”

“Thumbs up to my Fox Hollow neighbors

who shared their ‘thumbs down’ a few weeks ago regarding preferential treatments (priority snow removal) given to members of the board of ‘entitlement’ - oops directors. This preferential treatment is a year round occurrence.... it appears most directors are exempt from being held accountable for breaking certain rules of the association I must add though - I believe there is one member (she is a year round resident) who does not use her position for her own gain. A week later there was a response to the two previous ‘thumbs down’ reminding all that the annual meeting is coming up. Hmmmmm - why would someone want to be part of a board who condones poor attitude, entitlement and practice retaliation??? Unfortunately it appears that Fox Hollow is no longer a ‘community.’”

“Thumbs down to my neighbor on Central Street.

Aren’t neighbors supposed to be friendly? You turn your back when you see us and intentionally go out of your way not to say hi! How rude and immature!”

“Thumbs down to sending your small children

to walk to school by themselves. I saw three small children walking to school alone during the time of the rain and ice. They walked across the street from the area of the legion hall and didn’t even look before they crossed! I was petrified. What would have happened if there was a car and they couldn’t

sad to drive down the road on trash day and see so many people overflowing their one trash barrel with no effort made to recycle at all. How much easier does it have to be made for you?”

“Thumbs up to Wayne Bortle and Mark Martel

Litchfield Recreation 3/4 Boys coaches...great coaches, great team, great season!!!!”

“Thumbs up to my players of the Alvirne Girls Varsity Basketball Team for your very successful

“Thumbs down. Whether or not you love your

son you should not leave him alone in a vehicle. Period. You may have taken this personal and you should. Emotions aside were you correct in what you did?”

“Thumbs up to Hudson Residents, for sticking together and helping your neighbor! THANK YOU, to everyone who voted on March 8th!! Because of all your hard work Hudson NH Families Will not have to suffer from being taxed without

season and accomplishments, for your proud showing in the Final Four, your hard work, team work, tough but clean play, never-give-up attitude, your sportsmanship, dedication, respect, and camaraderie (...never forget our ‘War Room’ stories!) - not only a pleasure to coach, but a thrill to watch! (Seniors, you will be dearly missed - best of luck in all you do!) Dee, DJ, Donny, Em, Cath, Tay, May, Jess, Sandi, Vee, Dev, Tori, and Britt. ‘Lokahi’ for life! Thanks for a great experience, Coach T.”

“Thumbs down to parents who complain about

volunteers who coach and manage recreational sports. You have sat on the sidelines for years criticizing the way your children are coached by other volunteering parents. These parents give their time and energy to help your kids and try to do the best job possible. These are not paid trained professionals, but volunteers who love the sports and the kids who play them. This forum is sometimes used to bash specific individuals and organizations by anonymous writers who refuse to get involved themselves. If you really feel you child is moving on to the NFL, NBA, MLB or whatever soccer league there is, then you need a reality check. Maybe before you criticize you should ask yourself, “what would it be like if I had to coach my kid?”

“Thumbs up to feeding the birds and the local

wildlife. Every living thing needs to eat in order to survive. Maybe its food scraps, maybe its bird food, maybe it’s a dead deer carcass that supplies that food source. Who is anyone to decide or dictate what should or shouldn’t be? Life revolves around survival regardless of what it is. Life goes on whether you appreciate it or not. Perhaps rather than condemn the ravens you should embrace them? They are put on this earth for a purpose that you don’t seem to understand. There are NO baby birds at this time of year and if the call of wildlife disturbs you now what happens during mating season? Should we feed only the pretty birds that have a beautiful song? Or should we feed the birds God gave us to enjoy?? How can you pick and choose?? I say feed the birds rather than feed the landfill. Whether it is a crow, a raven, a turkey vulture or a bald eagle they are all Gods gifts, we just need to appreciate them.”

“Thumbs up to the 2 wonderful ladies at the

Litchfield Town clerk’s office who always have a great and positive attitude, ‘thumbs up’ to the wonderful lady at Hudson True Value who is so polite and helpful every time I visit the store, ‘thumbs up’ to Adam at the Hudson Hannaford for being upbeat and efficient and ‘thumbs up’ to Kristen at the Hudson Walgreen’s for recognizing repeat customers at the Pharmacy window. You always have a smile on and go out of your way to make my day better. I am sure you do that for many people on a daily basis that may not see it but I am sure they appreciate it. Thank you.”

justification!! Voters can take pride in knowing, they may have saved their neighbors from going into foreclosure, provided enough food for struggling families and helped keep families and seniors homes warm. It’s Voters like you who make this ‘The Live Free or Die’ state!”

“Thumbs up to Matt, Zach, Tim, Jon, Dennis,

Travis, Kevin, Josh, Adam and Nick of Campbell High School’s Robotics Team, ‘Potential Energy.’ What an unbelievable weekend it was. You guys pulled it all together, under a ton of stress, to make it all happen. It was so much fun to watch and we are so glad that you guys were able to accomplish so much. You all should be so proud!! ‘Thumbs up’ also, to Brigitte, Marissa, Ally, Pete and Andy for all your help with Marketing. The team looked great. And last but not least, a big ‘thumbs up’ to the team advisor, the mentors and the volunteers who helped make this happen. It was way too much fun. Here’s to many more years of Robotics at Campbell High School!”

“Thumbs up to Hudson Voters, for sticking together in a time of need and voting ‘no’ on unnecessary tax increases on March 8th. Thank you, for Taking Back Your Town Hudson.”

“Thumbs down to the comment regarding ravens.

We do not have ravens just crows. Crows have different cries. They sound like they are barking to warn other crows to stay away, or to call everyone else to dinner. I don’t know which is which, and I don’t care. I will continue the feed the birds regardless of your comment. They get plenty of birdseed as well as my left over bread.”

“Thumbs down. I’m a long time sufferer of

chronic back pain since undergoing spin surgery in 2001. Legally I can go to my Pain Management Doctor and get all the Morphine (opiate / heroin) I need & become a strung out junkie or I can illegally smoke pot. Um, lets see...decriminalize and pass the damn medical marijuana bill NH!!!”

“Thumbs up to St Francis of Assisi School for implementing the Paper Retriever recycling program. This is a start in showing the students how recycling works, how it benefits the community, and how we all can make a difference no matter how small the contribution is. Well done!”

“Thumbs down to the comment about ravens. Although ravens can be found in North America, they do not like to be around people. They like to hunt by themselves in the wild. They are about the size of a hawk, and their cries are very hoarse or a croaking sound. Crows always hunt together, that’s why you almost always see them fighting over food. The reason why crows are attracted to neighborhoods is because of exposed garbage. So
