Netball It was our maiden voyage as a netball squad. The girls were looking like professionals in their new netball dresses. They were learning to train like professional netball players. Now, they just need to play like netball players. Year 7 were the first team on court against St Augustine’s. After losing the first centre pass they had to gain back the advantage. It didn’t take long for them to get into their stride with the shooters on fire with their shots at goal. The team played outstandingly together and worked really hard to keep possession of the ball. Final score: 4-0

Next came the Year 8 team. After winning the first centre pass they had all to play for. The teamed worked hard on the centre court and in defence to stop the opposition from gaining the ball. The half ended with a 4-0 lead to The Grey Coat Hospital. A quick half time and back on court. It seemed that St Augustine’s weren’t ready to give up! They pulled the score back to 4-3 in the first five minutes but that was just when the Year 8's reserve energy was kicking in leaving the score at the final whistle at 10-3. Women of the Match: Hannah Egueye 7T and Kitty Levenson 8T Miss Kennedy (Year 7&8 Netball Coach)

Swimming success

Congratulations to the Grey Coat Swim Team for once again defending our title at the Westminster Swimming Championships! The girls were in great spirits as all competed well and we came back with a swag of medals!

We won Gold Medals in 12 events Silver in 8 events And Bronze in 3 events.

In fact, bronze was the lowest place we came!

Special mention must go to Devon Robins (year 13) for competing in her last gala for the school after 7 years of swimming for Grey Coat. Look out for her in 2012!! Also thank you to Harley Greer and Alice Hawkins (year 11) for their assistance in organising the younger swimmers in time for their event. Well done to all!
