Ready! Set! Relay! E

ach and every Relay for Life participant has a per- sonal story that explains why they take part in this annual

fundraising event. Some people relay in

honor of a deceased loved one that lost their battle to cancer. Others relay to show support for a survivor. Yet many others in the community relay because they are a survivor.

Over 50 teams are registered to participate in the 2011 Parkland Relay For Life. Coral Springs Relay For Life has 36 teams and is expecting more teams to form. As both communities prepare for their main event, teams have put together a variety of pre-Relay events enabling participants to show their support for this worthy cause in a variety of ways.

BARK FOR LIFE

For pet owners, Bark For Life is a great opportunity to show support and raise money in the fight against cancer. The Coral Springs Pet Resort and Medical Center will be hosting Bark For Life on March 6th from 4-6pm. This pet friendly fundraiser supports the American Cancer Society through a $10 per family donation.
