News and Business

New Dublin showroom for Aurora

Aurora Lighting has opened a state of the art showroom in North Dublin and has transferred operations from Northern Ireland. The centre features an interactive facility giving lighting designers, electrical contractors and product specifiers the chance to road test and understand the latest technology. The Dublin facility itself is a perfect example of the effectiveness of low energy lighting. Even with every light switched on, the showroom displays run on 400W and the rest of the 6,500sq ft facility runs off just 1.5kW – less than your fridge at home. Taking the company’s popular Aurora Lighting Experience display (ALEX) at its UK headquarters one step further, the Dublin Showroom offers customers an invaluable opportunity to learn how a variety of light sources, colour temperatures and optics enables a variety of lighting effects to be achieved.

Atrium Ltd back on the scene

Atrium Ltd, the organisation behind the success of Modular Lighting Instruments in the UK, is bringing its own name back to the limelight. The return to Atrium Ltd as its trading name follows the addition of Flos to its other successful brands: Modular, LTS and Ilti Luce. ‘The news that we are re-emerging as Atrium Ltd is a direct reflection of the exciting addition of Flos (Decorative, Architectural and Soft Architecture) to our portfolio. We are delighted to be representing such a revered brand to the architectural and design community,’ explains Ulysse Dormoy, managing director of Atrium. ‘With Flos, Modular, LTS and Ilti Luce, our architectural lighting offering has diversified and developed. Therefore our branding simply needed to change.’
