to create a nice ambiance also in their bedroom, using light and its variations when it comes to colours, scenes, settings, moods etc.’ explains Rob Hendrika, Philips Lighting Strategic Marketing Manager Home Europe. ‘You can also find this in nature: from sunrise to sunset the daylight changes constantly, and irrespectively of where you are – whether it’s in the city or in a deep forest – the experience of light is unique in every given moment. This inspired us when we created the Color Ambiance bed headboard: to enable consumers to change their bedroom to a unique

environment that suits a specific mood or moment, with light.’ The Color Ambiance offers the feature of an automatic colour changing mode. ‘Sweep your finger around the colour wheel (one full circle) and briefly press on I (On); LivingColors will then turn into the automatic colour-changing mode: the lamp will start changing colours automatically. You can adjust the speed with which colours change. Speed can be adjusted clockwise, from fast (dark blue colour on the colour wheel) to slow (purple). You can tap anywhere on the colour wheel. While in the automatic

colour changing mode, you can also adjust the saturation and brightness of the colours. Please note that to switch back to static colour mode, sweep around the colour wheel again, then press 0. Alternatively, you can switch LivingColours off 0 and on I again,’ explains Hendrika. Empowering people to set and adapt their personal environments through the use of light is an important way to make homes a special and personal place. With advanced products such as Color Ambiance, lighting is no longer limited to on or off, or brighter or dimmed, but opened up for people to create, discover and experience a whole world of new lighting possibilities.
