Little Da Vinci from Page 45
“With each of my kids, I want them to do what they love and what their passion is,” Ryder says. “From an early age, we found that Lauren is very gifted in drawing and painting. One of the best things is the classes are small and the teacher is just so nice. Maria is from South America, so she incorporates that culture into the lessons and plays music to inspire them. “But the coolest thing is that when Lauren comes out of the class, she is so relaxed and happy. It’s like calming therapy for her. She truly loves it. And, starting in March at the new studio, Lauren is going to
be taking piano as well as the art classes.” Nicci Malm of Chandler Estates says her daughter, Lilly, loves the Little Da Vinci’s classes. The 11-year- old enjoys the student art exhibits that are held a few times a year and takes pride in giving the pictures she has created to grandparents and family members as gifts.
“It’s been amazing to see what the children are capable of,” says Malm. “We have two other daughters and we are interested in music and dance for them at the new studio. It’s been wonderful for Lilly’s
confidence and creativity.”
The studio is open 9:15 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and until 5 p.m. Saturdays. On weekends, the studio also offers one-of-a-kind birthday parties.
The new Little Da Vinci Art Studio is opening mid- March at 3355 W. Chandler Blvd, Suite 7. For more visit

In addition, a Benefit Golf Ball Drop contest is open now through April 3. Numbered golf balls will be dropped from a helicopter and the golf ball that ends up in the hole or closest to the pin wins $500 in cash. The ball drop will be held at 6 p.m. on April 3 at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, but participants need not be present to win. The cost to enter the ball drop is $10 per golf ball and may be purchased online at
www.longbowgolf.com/ambassador. Both events will offset tuition for Baily, an Arizona Student Ambassador, and 39 other ambassadors who will travel to Australia this June. During their trip, they will work with a marine biologist while experiencing the Great Barrier Reef, learning ancient traditions of the Aboriginal people, visiting world heritage sites and working on other group service projects.
Longbow Golf Club is located at 5601 E. Longbow Pkwy. off the Higley exit of the Red Mountain Freeway Loop 202 in Mesa.
