“Murphy’s Law is proud to host downtown Chandler’s biggest St. Patrick’s Day event,” he says. “We again will be providing great food, great times and the best in live entertainment during our indoor-outdoor celebration this year. There’s a specialty menu for the day with dishes like corned beef and cabbage plus the outdoor grill will be going in the Beer Garden.”

Doors for the fest open at 8 a.m. with the traditional Murphy’s Law breakfast menu featuring hearty Gaelic goodies like homemade corned beef hash with eggs ($7.95), Irish sausage and eggs with handcrafted bangers ($6.99) and pub creations including the Train Wreck, a Boxty, or Irish bread, wrapped around eggs, sausage, rashers, ham, mushrooms, scallions and melted cheddar served with fruit ($8.99). The party continues at 11:30 a.m. with dancers from the Chandler Irish Society and bagpipes. At 1 p.m., the festivities move to the outdoor Beer Garden with the Along For the Ride band on stage. Little Da Vinci Art expands to offer music, dance

NEW: Guitar lessons are now available at Little Da Vinci, along with violin, cello and piano as well as dance and art lessons.

The youngest of visual artists have honed their craft for more than four years at the Little Da Vinci Art Studio, and now musicians and dancers will also be able to bloom with the opening of a new, expanded school at 3355 W. Chandler Blvd. in Chandler. “Our new creative space is an original art studio offering painting, dance and music lessons for kids and adults in one inspiring location,” owner Maria Isabel Delgado says. “The mission of our studio is to provide students with a high-quality arts education. We work to create expressive artists who can use what they learn in class in other areas of their daily life and boost their self- esteem as they collaborate on their artistic and personal growth.”

Painting classes include acrylics, watercolors, oils and charcoal, and Delgado

says the dance program features ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, Zumba and Latin movement and more. Guitar, violin, cello, piano and vocal lessons are offered in the music program.

As a 10-year Chandler resident and a mom, Delgado says she knows how important it is to have a place close to home offering all the arts in one inviting place. She chose the new studio location near the 202 and 101 freeways to make it as convenient as possible for parents to get to quality enrichment for their children. Despite all the positive academic and personal benefi ts of the arts, they are often

the fi rst to be cut from school budgets, Delgado notes, saying the studio offers a place for the advantages of the arts to be restored.

Deana Ryder of Queen Creek says she was looking for something more than just arts and crafts for her daughter, Lauren. The 8-year-old has been taking classes since November.
