“Thumbs up to a fiscally-responsible, permanent kindergarten in Windham! Let’s give our kids a permanent home (not leaking portables), take advantage of 75% funding from the State, and avoid paying rental fees on portable classrooms for kindergarteners in the Fall of 2012! Vote YES on Article Two on the Windham School District Ballot!”
“Thumbs up to finishing the Windham School District Facilities Master Plan. Let’s move beyond conceptual designs to in-depth site investigations, further architectural design and engineering, and detailed construction estimating and scheduling. Vote Yes on Article Three on the Windham School District Ballot!”
“Thumbs up to voting Stephanie Wimmer for
Windham School Board on Tuesday, March 8th. She knows the issues facing our schools and cares about ALL of Windham’s students!”
“Thumbs up to Margaret Crisler for running for a seat on the Windham Planning Board. Margaret will continue to protect our rural character while promoting sensible commercial growth. Vote Margaret Crisler on March 8th.”
“Thumbs down to Bill. The white shirt and
tie don’t change it; you’re a hillbilly too. So stop pushing all the crap down our throats. We can’t afford it and you know it. I’m happy you have plenty of cash. You vote no to everything until election time. Ok you got a No vote here.”
“Thumbs down to the school board for intentionally misleading the voters to get what they want - again. Just remember, they are asking you to spend $3.8 million for a kindergarten building when we just have to make kindergarten available - which we already do. The law doesn’t mandate 5 year olds to attend kindergarten.
Also, the law
does not say 75% state aid is ending in June.” “Thumbs down to Windham’s current selectman
who wants a Tuition Agreement with Pelham students attending Windham High School. Let your voice be heard, do not re-elect him!”
“Thumbs down to the school board candidate
who is the co-chair of the Windham/Pelham Tuition Committee. He’s in favor of tuitioning in Pelham to attend WHS. Him being a school board member for many years in the past is not a selling point to me. Our schools would not be facing such over crowding if he was an effective member during his previous years of service.”
”Thumbs up to PES fourth grade students for putting on 2 great events in one week, the Lewis and Clark musical and the biography book report event featuring Governor Lynch and his wife. The fourth graders and their teachers should be proud of all their hard work and accomplishments.”
“Thumbs down to a 17,000+ s.f. kindergarten!
Why would we want to spend $4 MILLION to build a new kindergarten school when 5 year olds aren’t even required by the state to attend kindergarten! That’s right, the mandate is only that we make it available - well, we’ve done that.”
“Thumbs down. Well, by gum, I give up. It seems like this country is just selling out to the Chinese left, right and center. I bought a pair of Dr. Scholl’s, and Dr. Scholl’s has gone over to the Chinese, I wore these gel insertions in my boots today, and my feet hurt worse than they did without them. I can’t believe this county is buying this crap. My fault! I should have checked the package and if it was made in China I would have dropped it on the floor in Rite Aid. Tell you what
America, you better damn well wake up, because they are taking away everything we got! Good luck America adios!”
“Thumbs down to Kathleen Sullivan DiFruscia for running for Windham selectman. We didn’t want her husband and we don’t want her. She will be a puppet for his ideas and several times we have said ‘no’ to him and we should also say ‘no’ to her. She is nothing but a puppet on the end of the strings of her husband.”
“Thumbs up/down. I think the good people of
Pelham have to take their town back. Get rid of these useless selectmen who are constantly dipping into our pockets. You people voted them in and it’s time to vote them out. I am sick and tired of listening to you people complain about the people you have put into offices. Two of them have quit twice and got voted in the very next election cycle. What the hell is up? If you remember years ago we voted down a brand new back hoe for the DPW and Mr. McDevitt made the decision to buy one anyway. Start voting for someone in your salary bracket.”
Soucy.
“Thumbs down to the article about Roland I agree with the first comment about Roland

Soucy not caring. The fact is that Roland Soucy has a real engineering and design company he started with his daughter. Roland Soucy has no integrity in the town of Pelham. He has family members on the planning board, his soon to be son-in-law has never recused himself of any planning board meeting that involved a Roland Soucy project. There’s a lot of issues there. It’s time for a change! People in Pelham, open your eyes!”
“Thumbs down to the Pelham people complaining about Pelham’s current SPED and

holiday meets at Atlantic Gymnastics in Portsmouth and Granite State Gymnastics in Bow. And although some of the girls were competing for the very first time, you would have never guessed, as their strong and confident performances earned them scores in the high eights and low nines. The girls continued the momentum into the New Year and earned A2’s first-ever team banner at the Winter Carnival meet in Stratham on January 8 and 9. The Novice team placed third overall and were proud to make history for the gym. The teams also ventured south to O’Leary’s Gymnastics in Attleboro, MA. The competition was difficult, but overall the girls did very well! Their season is in full swing now and truly
promises to be one to remember! Between the four competitions, the girls’ highlights for each event and all- around were: • Jessica Anderson: vault 8.65 (eighth), bars 8.85 (fifth), beam 8.925 (third), floor 8.85 (sixth), all-around 35.225 (fifth)

Girls’ Travel Basketball Team took home the trophies at the 2010-2011 Manchester Suburban League Basketball Playoffs at the Eastern Sports Center in Plaistow. The girls won five of their six playoff games to make it to the Final Championship game. Their only loss was to the Bedford girls, but they got their chance at a rematch with Bedford in the final championship game. After winning undefeated
Goffstown in the semifinals, the Pelham girls came out to play in the championship with high intensity in the first quarter, scoring six points. Pelham was well matched against the tenacious Bedford team, and both teams showed tremendous defense with a low scoring game. The Pelham and Bedford girls fought hard until the last buzzer, with Pelham leading by a basket and

preschool and kindergarten buildings. Have you every been inside of them? They are beautiful! The children and staff have more than enough room. Wake up Pelham! Once again, champagne taste on our beer pocketbooks.”
“Thumbs down regarding the woman who
wrote Feb 25 regarding the Pelham hillbillies who should stay home and not vote one way or the other. I paid for my children to go to kindergarten in this state, and you can too. You have no right to tell me, or anybody to stay home because they shouldn’t vote for Pelham’s future. Shame on you!”
“Thumbs down for any talk of combining
Windham and Pelham schools. There is a reason why we choose to live in Windham and feel that Windham will definitely be left holding the bag when current residents with kids move out as a result of joining the two schools.”
“Thumbs up to Ross McLeod for voting for the feasibility study for the expansion of the town beach. ‘Thumbs up’ to Kathleen DiFruscia for making the suggestion on candidates night. ‘Thumbs down’ to Charlie McMahon for not seeing light sooner.”
