March 5, April 2, April 30 Tail Wagging Tutors The Pass Christian Public Library is pleased to announce that the Tail Wagging Tutors Children’s Reading Program will be coming to the Pass Christian Public Library! The first event will be on Saturday, February 5 from 10 a.m. till noon. Follow up visits will be on Saturday, March 5; Saturday, April 2; and Saturday, April 30. The program is sponsored by Visiting Pet
Partners-Pet Therapy Group. The handlers and their registered therapy dogs volunteer to help our community. The volunteers and their four-legged friends will be coming to help children one-on- one improve their communication and reading skills. As the children read to the dogs, they gain confidence to read anywhere. Dogs are also great motivators. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to sign-up their child or grandchild to read individu- ally with a handler and a therapy dog. Reading sessions usually last for 30 minutes. Children are
rewarded with bookmarks, stickers, or pencils for participation. The program is absolutely free. Chil- dren must not be afraid of or be allergic to animals. For more information and to register, please call 452-4596. Time: 10a.m. - 12 p.m.
