people have difficulty seeing Whatever Club as a valid expression of church, and feel that the youngsters and their families should also attend Sunday services.
Last September Whatever Club joined the Sunday
congregation for the Harvest Festival. As a mixed age group we acted out the story of Jesus healing the Ten Lepers. We also came together again on
Christmas Eve for a crib service.
Activities are linked to biblical themes and we try to make them fun. Last summer we had a session exploring roads and making junk modelling cars that could be raced using people power. It was wonderful to watch young and old coming together making and racing their creations. It was extremely competitive: those old boxes,
string and tape decorated with ‘go faster’ stripes and logos gave pleasure for weeks afterwards.
So Whatever Club has found a popular place within the life of the village, and our dedicated team of leaders are thrilled with all God is doing through our Saturday gatherings.

COMPUTERS FOR RURAL PEOPLE
The Arthur Rank Centre has set up the Computers for Rural People scheme to provide computers at very low cost to encourage people to take the first step in computing and exploring the internet at a really low price.
We can provide a computer of your own, pre- loaded with Microsoft software (Windows XP and Office 2003), and delivered to your door with three months warranty, to get you started. A fully functioning computer costs as little as £109.
If you need more than one computer for a school or drop-in centre the prices are even lower. All we ask is that you make a voluntary donation of £12 minimum to the Arthur Rank Centre to cover our costs and support our charitable activities.
