welcoming culture for mid-level/high school players and sought to retain competitive players, including a program
committee gaining three new athletic members. All three of them are amazing athletes and have provided a lot of support and inspiration to MAC. On the triathlon side we had record participa- tion at the annual Indoor Triathlon and the Blue Lake Triathlon, and some great training days at Hagg Lake. With the increased participation among MAC members, we are looking to increase the triathlon program in 2011 to include a Half Ironman training program and an USA age group national championship team.

to match juniors with adult hitting part- ners, benefiting all involved. The popularity of tennis (66 teams, 1,000-plus participants, 276 classes) mean that the finite supply of courts (seven indoor, two outdoor) remains in high demand. Tennis piloted the online court reservation system for MAC, which runs smoothly, enabling transparency and effi- ciency along with data to further improve the player experience. The courts received a facelift by being painted “U.S. Open blue” and so we have further narrowed the differences between our courts and the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York. The

In the past year, we devoted a good share of our time and resources to increase the amount of running activities and training opportunities to MAC members. We kicked off the running season by resur- recting the MAC Mile, and offering weekly track workouts leading up to the event. We had more than 40 participants in the MAC Mile and are excited for MAC Mile 2011. We added a Pittock Mansion Trail Run in September and ended the season with the annual Peacock Lane Run, which had more than 60 runners. At the end of 2010 we brought on Mary Kapsa as a running coach. She heads up group runs during the week and provides training for MAC members, from the marathon to the mile run.

The success of MAC volleyball is a direct result of our extraordinary volleyball staff and coaches. Their enthusiasm for the sport has guided our junior program to even greater heights. This year we welcomed a new volleyball coordinator, Kellie Scholl. She ran a successful series of clinics during the summer and the fall and worked tirelessly to field a wonderful group of highly qualified coaches for the 2010-11 season.
We are also excited to welcome a new technical coordinator, Laura Humphrey. She is currently the JV coach for Lincoln High School. We were excited about our
