LUNCH AND LEARN: FALL INJURY PREVENTION While spring might put a bounce back into your step, not everyone is a

spring chicken. As the season turns for LGBT seniors, some are thinking about fall prevention – that is, utilizing measures to prevent possible injury due to ac- cidental falls. To that extent, on Wednesday, March 16, Fifty and Better Together will host an informative Lunch & Learn program, “Fall Injury Prevention: Tips & Tricks for Reducing Fall Related Injuries.” Useful tools in the workshop include a medication management form, home safety checklist, balance and exercise information, and valuable community resources. The Lunch & Learn takes place at the San Diego LGBT Community Center, 3909 Centre Street in Hillcrest, on Wednesday, March 16, at 11:30 a.m. For those who RSVP by Monday, March 14, a light lunch will be available. Following the Lunch & Learn presentation, join the free Senior Financial Drop-In from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Olin-Grinchuck Senior Space. Get answers to questions about budgeting, life planning and other finan- cial concerns. RSVP to Abby Schwartz at 619.692.2077, ext. 212 or seniors@ thecentersd.org.
